Winter Cozy - Comfy Outfits, At Home Activities and a Comforting Cocktail
The holidays may be over, but the chilling winter weather still lingers. There’s nothing better than cozying up at home with a glass of wine when being outside isn’t an option. We included our curated women’s leisure collection just for days like this along with some at home activities and a cocktail recipe to make staying at home even more comfortable.
Stay in and Stretch
Our bodies do so much throughout our lives that sometimes we need to take a break and a breather. Stretching is one of the most helpful ways to release tension and relax the mind. Below are some key stretches that’ll get you feeling good.
Hamstring Stretch – Stretching your back, hamstring, glutes and calves, this stretch is perfect for your lower body. Stand tall with feet hip width apart, knees slightly bent and arms at sides. Bend forward, with your head towards the floor and shoulders and arms relaxed. Wrap hands around the back of your legs or touch the floor and hold for 40 seconds to 2 minutes.
Seated Shoulder Squeeze – Stretching your chest, upper back, and shoulders, this is a great stretch for your upper body. Start with sitting on the floor with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Clasp your hands behind your back and extend straightened arms, squeezing shoulder blades together. Do this stretch for 3 seconds, release and repeat 5 – 10 times.
Knees to Chest – Stretching the lower body and chest, this stretch requires minimal effort. Laying on your back, pull your knees towards your chest, holding legs with both hands making sure to keep your lower back on the floor. Hold for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Hot Toddy, Warm Body
One of the most classic drinks to keep you warm during winter is a hot toddy. Made with simple ingredients, whiskey, hot water, honey, and lemon, this is a foolproof drink. Lemon and honey are soothing ingredients that can help reduce some cold symptoms. We included this easy to follow recipe from Cookie and Kate.
INGREDIENTS
- ¾ cup water
- 1 ½ ounces whiskey
- 2 to 3 teaspoons honey, to taste
- 2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice, to taste
- 1 lemon round
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a teapot or saucepan, bring the water to a simmer. Pour the hot water into a mug.
- Add the whiskey, 2 teaspoons honey and 2 teaspoon lemon juice. Stir until the honey has disappeared into the hot water. Taste, and add 1 teaspoon honey for more sweetness, and/or 1 teaspoon more lemon juice for more zing.
- Garnish with a lemon round and cinnamon stick (if using). Enjoy!
